Description of the Company:
The Torch Theatre Company is one of only three building based producing theatres in Wales. The theatre welcomes over 70,000 people annually and produces 4 productions a year including an annual pantomime which runs for 6 weeks and plays to over 10,000 people. The Torch also welcomes touring shows, houses a 3D and Digital Cinema as well as Live Broadcasts from many of the world’s leading performing arts venues.
Aims in Edinburgh:
To introduce The Torch Theatre Company to a wider audience with the aim of making future tours easier to sell to venues.

Who’s Afraid of Rachel Roberts?

Rachel Roberts, (played by Welsh BAFTA-winner Helen Griffin), was showered with awards for her powerful, passionate performances in the ground-breaking ‘kitchen-sink’ dramas, Saturday Night & Sunday Morning and This Sporting Life. Marriage to Rex Harrison brought a superstar lifestyle, which she embraced whole-heartedly and then set about destroying with her outrageous, provocative behaviour. But even in her darkest moments and at her lowest ebb, no-one escaped her bleak and scathing sense of humour, least of all herself...
