Production Description:

A dance piece centred on the hard winter of 1962-63, during which it snowed and froze for three months. During this period a much-contested site, at which a dam was being built in north Wales, was bombed. The piece is performed in two tonnes of flour accompanied by a live electronic score. The musicians blend field recordings with the playing of harps in water and in ice.

Production Description:

The film shows an open-air baptism at Ffynnonhenri Chapel near Carmarthen. The piece considers the ritual as choreographic in its own right (and it is likely that it was devised during the 1690s). It adds nothing else to it, apart from a short sung verse at the end.
