My Name is Sue - Dafydd James & Company

Wales in Edinburgh 2013

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the world's largest arts festival. For Wales' performing arts companies it represents a huge opportunity to present their work internationally.

The Festival is attended by audiences, programmers, promoters and producers from across the UK and the world. We believe that our performing arts companies should be given the chance to shine in such a global context.

From an artistic perspective, the Festival allows us to show some of Wales’ best work to the world. From an economic perspective, the Festival offers a chance for our companies to develop markets and to find ways of enhancing their touring patterns outside of Wales. In more difficult economic times, it’s crucial that our organisations are able to enhance their reach in order to increase their business sustainability.

We strongly believe that this will have a positive long-term benefit not only for those companies but also for Welsh audiences who’ll be able to continue enjoying their work for many years to come.
