A solo theatre performance based on the life of Lloyd George as part of the Art of Business/Business of Art Conference in Singapore.

The writer and director David Applied for funding to support the performance of 'The Wizard, the Goat and the Man who won the War', his solo theatre piece based on the life of Lloyd George, as part of the Art of Business/Business of Art Conference in Singapore. The conference was the first of a biennial programme between Wales and Singapore and was a joint venture between the Singapore Management University and Swansea University. It was attended by many key figures from Wales and was the centrepiece of the conference, it was an opportunity for the Director of the piece DJ Britton and Director of the Wee Kim Wee Centre, poet Kirpal Singh to focus on direct artistic collaborations between Wales and Singapore.

The show also played in Wales, effectively to full houses and audience reaction was hugely enthusiastic with standing ovations in several venues. David felt that "the success of the venture had exceeded all reasonable expectations".

"The most intelligent, absorbing and moving piece of theatre I have seen for years, thanks to a superb script and an electrifying performance" - South Wales Post.

WAI supported the actor Richard Elfyn, and the stage director with travel costs to Singapore for the performance.
