Ruthin Craft Centre

Ruthin Craft Centre took a research visit in November 2010 to Japan to research the exchange of ideas on applied art and the environment.

The research was designed to enable a dialogue between artists, architects, designers, educationalists and arts professionals. It enabled Curators and the Centre's Education Officer to visit Japan in order to identify Japanese Artists, Designers and Architects to take part in residencies, exhibitions and educational activities.

Following the visit, the Japanese Style: Sustainable Design project will be programmed at Ruthin Craft Centren in 2012 that will consist of exhibitions, residencies, and education programme, conferences, seminars and publications.

This research was also supported by the Daiwa Foundation and the Great Britain Sasakawa Foundation.
