Interceltic Celebration

Wales Millennium Centre joined forces with the internationally renowned Festival Interceltique de Lorient for the first time this spring to present a whole day of live Celtic festivities. Established in 1969, the Festival is the world’s largest gathering of Celtic cultures and is the first time that it will be involved in an event outside of France.

WOMEX, the world music trade expo came to Cardiff for the first time between Wednesday - Sunday, 23- 27 October 2013. WOMEX is the most important international professional market of world music. This international fair brings together professionals from the worlds of folk, roots, ethnic and traditional music and also includes concerts, conferences, a DJ summit and documentary films.
